A basic recipe in a different way….
Avocado toast is one of my favourite go – to recipes and I always prepare it in a different way, so here we are with one variation of this delicious food. I think 99% of you, guys, have eaten an avocado toast at least once in your life, haven‘t you? If not, this is the perfect option to try. (Of course if you have eaten it, too.) So be prepared for a new taste of this delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack. I prefer eating an avocado toast in the morning (even though I usually start my day in a sweet way) or for lunch but this is your choice. But that is enough for now…
Step by step recipe with lots of jokes in between
Let‘s get started I‘d say. The recipe is actually not pretty complicated. Basically we are making a toast which is eaten with small pieces of avocado. But we will start with the poached egg: For this we have to prepare the water first. Therefore we pour some water with vinegar in the pot and heat it until it boils. Then we take a spoon or a fork and whisk the water until there is a tiny swirl. Now we have to be pretty quick and put the egg into the swirling water. Whisk, whisk, whisk,… until the white of the egg has laid above the yellow part. We let it cook for about 3-5 minutes. It sounds more complicated than it is – so no worries!
In the meantime we can peal the avocado (that is music in my head: peal the avocado, peal the avocado,…), cut it (of course) and toast the toast. Then spread some hummus on the bread and put spinach which we have roasted with some butter and the avocado on top. Now we can top it with the poached egg and drizzle with some pumpkin seed oil and of course pepper on salt.
