Cookies are awesome – aren‘t they

I definitely agree with this statement. Let‘s be honest: do you know a single person who isn‘t addicted to cookies? No? Me neither! Cookies are a kind of magic because almost everyone likes them which is in pretty little cases in real life the case with any other food, so we have to enjoy this opportunity to get together through cookies. Within this words I want to start the cookie week which actually lasts only 4 days with the Chocolate Chip cookie which is just delicious. But back to the cookie week. Have you ever baken cookies on your own? If you did, you might be one of a few people. There are so many kinds of cookies out there in nearly every store, so there is no need to prepare them on our own but it is definitely worth it. So I hope you will take the opportunity! During this 4 days I will share cookie recipes with you (one recipe each day). The cookies are mostly based on the same basic recipe that I upgraded through adding cocoa powder or peanutbutter but I don‘t want to spoiler that much, so be prepared for the following week. Now it is time for the first cookie, the chocolate chip cookie which is actually my favourite. Pretty basic – I know. But that might be the most delicious recipe in many cases. Anyways, the preparation is really simple and easy and it lasts less than half a hour.

In conclusion, it was pretty funny and a cool experiment to think of different kinds of cookies and prepare them afterwards and I am glad that I can share them with you now even though the kitchen was such a mess after my baking journey. And fortunately or unfortunately (i don‘t know) I filmed the kitchen after baking which I can share with you, too. But that is it enough for now.

Recipe (long version with many background informations and jokes)

Just get straight into it. I actually did a bit of freestyling so I started with mixing not too cold butter with white sugar as well as brown sugar. I used my hands – so you can 😉 Afterwards I added an egg and mixed it with a spoon. I went on by adding the flour as well as the baking powder and a little salt and then my hands got involved again. I kneaded the ingredients until they combined themselves to a delicious dough which my family and I had to test as well (obligatory taste test – you know) but I had to ensure that you just get the best cookies. If you want you could add some vanilla extract as well but this is optional. Oh – I nearly forgot to write this down but of course add the chocolate chips. How could I forget it?

Preheat the oven at 180 degree Celsius.

If there is the perfect dough for you than you can Form little balls with your hands and place them at a baking tray on which you laid parchment paper and press them into cookie shape and sprinkle them with more chocolate chips. I first had some problems with shaping the cookies but after the second round I got it. (Took a little longer for me) Finally, you can bake it for 15min in the preheated oven and enjoy your cookies:) First I thought that was too easy for those delicious cookies.

Now a funfact to this pretty pictures. It was really challenging because I didn‘t found the fairy lights which meant I had to use candles next to tried flowers that was kind of dangerous, too but for this result it was worth it.
