Welcome to a new era of tacos….
A new era of tacos. I mean, who doesn‘t like burger and tacos. Combined just a dream team. And the best: This recipe is even vegetarian. So there is no reason for you not to try it. A fluffy taco dough which I made myself is the base of this delicious meal, which you never want to miss again. On top a kind of tofu burger filling decorated with loads of toppings. You could basically use any toppings you like. I took some salad and caramelised onions when I shorted this recipe but I also tried salad, cucumber and just onions, which was also very delicious. So there is much space to experiment and try new maybe even weird combinations. Just have fun preparing your food. I even tried a sandwich with vegan nuggets, figs and pumpkin the day before and it was a kinda strange but still delicious combination…so long story short: just try it.
Because the only bad taco is the one you didn‘t eat 🙂
I am a bit sceptical, too when it comes to trying weird combinations. For example: I saw a red lentil porridge recipe about 2 years ago. I haven‘t tried it yet because it is just not possible to eat lentils as a porridge in my head. To be honest- I will probably never try it. Anyways, the Big Mac tacos are actually pretty simple to prepare but within this recipe I will try a new kind of writing this blog by just writing the recipe once below. But the space where I wrote the recipe a bit longer with more jokes and background information and so on, there I will write something else from now. It may be a kind of prosecution of the introduction to the recipe, so it will mainly be about the meals but also some other topics connected to the recipe. For today it is trying weird combinations as you probably noticed. And I might post a recipe to this topic. As I said I experimented a bit with my sandwich yesterday and it was really good. But I am repeating….
Recipe
Ingredients:
4 Tacos
Burger filling:
- 100g Tofu
- 2 Tbsp paprika
- 1 Tbsp cumin
- 1 Tbsp turmeric
- a pinch of salt
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- a little water
- 1 Tbsp flour
- half of a toast slice (crumbled)
In addition:
- a bit of salad
- onions (if you want you can caramelise your onions by frying them in butter and add a little sugar)
- burgersauce ()
(Selfmade) Tacos:
- Tortilla
or
- flour
- salt
- water
(I don‘t know the exact amount of each ingredients so just play with the consistency)
