Chai Latte – so warm and sweet….
This is my up to date favourite beverage in the morning. I was always just drinking water in the morning until I tried Chai Latte the first time. It is so spicy, warm and delicious and gives me a good feeling in the morning. So I took some pictures after I made it today and here we are. So I actually tried Chai Latte the first time a few months ago and I thought it tasted very good but I don‘t like cloves so there was a bad taste after every single swallow but the beverage itself tasted that good, that I had to try it on my own. Without cloves of course. This recipe is pretty simple, because I always use a teabag. Anyways, I am obsessed with this beverage and I am really glad that I am able to share this recipe with you now. But that‘s enough for now. Let us begin preparing this lovely chai latte…..
Step by step recipe
So the recipe is pretty simple, so this post might be not as long as usually…
Firstly we pour some milk into a small pot and mix it with some sugar and a teaspoon of anise which I like for flavour. You could also use star anise which I hadn‘t at home on that day or cloves. Anyways, after mixing this together we heat the milk until it is almost boiling and then we put it off the hotplate and put the teabag in the hot milk. Set it aside.
In the meantime we froth the milk. We have a coffee machine which has a milk frothier but you can also use a special device.
After three to five minutes you can throw the teabag into the bin and take a cup. Then sift the tea with a sieve through a funnel into the cup to get rid of all those anise seeds. Finally you can top your chai latte with some milk froth and enjoy it.
That was pretty easy wasn‘t it? And I got some more beautiful pictures for you…..
